Milan SAGADIN:
The Early Slavic Cemetery at Mali grad in Kamnik
Abstract
The article reports on a small early Slavic cemetery (27 graves) at Mali Grad in Kamnik. The author dates it to the late phase of the Köttlach Culture (the end of the 10th and beginning of the 11th centuries), drawing attention to traces of a modular composition of the cemetery plan. It is also hypothesized that this was a single family cemetery in the complex of an early Slavic court, which represented the foundations of the medieval (early Romanesque) castle.
