Metal objects from the period of late Antiquity from Gradec near Prapretno
(Spätantike Metallgegenstände von Gradec bei Prapretno)

Abstract

A selection of material from the site of Gradec near Prapretno is presented in the article. These are metal objects from the period of late Antiquity that were classified merely on the basis of analogies from the literature because of the nature of the excavations. Artifacts presented in more detail include a fibula in the form of a rooster, a circular fibula with four hemispherical protrusions, and a fibula in the form of a Latin cross, most of which can be assigned to the 6th century, and which in addition to the other finds indicates an attribution primarily to a civil indigenous population at that time permanently occupying the elevated settlement.
