Animal remains from the Bronze Age settlements at Iška Loka and Žlebič
Abstract
The analysis of the scarce (NISP=21) bone material from the Bronze Age settlements at Iška Loka and Žlebič established the absence of remains of game and Caprinae. The state of preservation of the osteological material supports the thesis that Iška Loka was a ground level settlement on the firm edge of the moorlands, i.e. beyond the presumed already marshy region that would have been occupied by a lake in the Eneolithic.
