Spuren hallstattzeitlicher Besiedlung in Ptuj (Rabelčja vas)
[Traces of the Early Iron Age settlement in Ptuj (Rabelčja vas)]
Abstract
This article presents the Early Iron Age remains found during the construction of a residential quarter south of Rabelčja vas in Ptuj. The remains are those of a settlement spread across a flat ridge delimited by two small streams. The area was heavily built-up during the Roman period, which affected the state of preservation of the prehistoric huts. Their postholes were documented in outlines and could, in two cases, be connected to form the ground plan.
